This existing blood and plasma storage facility was operating using an ammonia refrigeration system. The facility owner had concerns over; health, safety, the cost to maintain this existing system 24/7, as well as the potential loss of product inventories due to a possible leak in the ammonia refrigeration system. To reduce these risks Century Refrigeration supplied a new system that employs ten 30HP two stage Bitzer compressors operating on refrigerant 507a. The Century condensing units were matched with Century PFE unit coolers for an efficient and reliable system. |
